The world is aware that Pakistan’s establishment that includes its Govt, military , its ISI and Beuraucracy are all hand in glove with hundreds of terror organizations but surprisingly the US report on terror still does not make a mention that Pakistan is a terrorist nation. UNO has declared number of Pakistan based organizations and individuals as terrorists and has banned them but all of them are freely operating from Pakistan’’s soil and Pakistan is still being rewarded and not declared as a Terrorist nation.
There is nothing in this article that is not in public domain and not known to the world leaders. Lets examine this Pakistan based terror network which the world leaders find it difficult to see.
- According to a report from the Carnegie Endowment Fund of USA, the ISI has been the Taliban’s “principle external patron reportedly providing it with financial resources, training, weapons, logistical support, and (above all) a safe haven in Pakistani territory.” Haqqani, one of the deputy leaders of Taliban in 2015, popularly known as the head of the Haqqani network, was once described by US intelligence as a “veritable arm of the ISI,” maintains close ties with Al-Qaeda.
- The Chief of JEM Masood Azhar and Azam Tariq of Sipah-i-Sahaba and most of Taliban leadership are the alumni of Darul Uloom Islamia Binori Madrasa which is one of the most influential centres in the world of the hardline Deobandi Sunni Muslim ideology. It attracts many foreign students from various part of the world. Masood Azhar is on UN terrorist list but operates freely from Pakistan.
- Then there is Tehrik e Taliban Pakistan ( TTP) raised in 2007, under the leadership of Baitullah Mehsud which became an umbrella organisation representing different militant groups in FATA(Federal Adminsitered TRIBAL AREAS), almost 13 of them . It used to be a semi autonomous region inhabited by the Pashtuns, who also live in the neighbouring provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwya, Northern Baluchistan and also across the border in Afghanistan. The region was merged with Khyber Pakhunkhwya in 2018. Since 9/11 when the Taliban was driven out of Afghanistan this entire region has been Talibanised. Once the Pakistan army got involved Post 9/11 TTP launched deadly terror attacks in Pakistan including the one at Army Public school at Peshwara in which almost 200 children were killed. As an aftermath of this gruesome murder Pakistan army launched a military operation against TTP and virtually disintegrated the organization. However, some of its remnants were supporting Taliban and seen fighting alongside Tlaiban in Afghnaistan. the TTP’s main objectives are “implementing Sharia law, and overthrow Pakistan Govt. The TTP receives ideological guidance from and maintains ties with Al Quaeda.
- In Jul2020 , after long years of infighting and few other factions/ groups like Lashkar e Janghvi, Jamaat ul Ahrar and Hizb ul Ahrar have also joined TTP which will make them a potent threat.
- According to United Nation report, ISIS core leadership sends funds to TTP in Afghanistan to "outsource" attacks due to its depleted manpower.
- The TTP is also an ideological inspiration for Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan which once had loaned 2500 fighters to TTP.
- There is then yet another TTP called as Tehreek e Taliban Punjab which is a conglomerate of groups based in Punjab ; Lashkar i Janghvi, Sipah-i Sahaba and JEM that operates in India. Tehreek-e-Taliban Punjab called as The Punjabi Taliban has strong connections with Afghan Taliban that has captured Kabul. TTP has recruits from Punjab Taliban also. Although, there are differences between them because Taliban ‘s cadre is Pushtoon and other tribes from the Border areas whereas Punjab Taliban cader is Punjab based.
- LET founded in 1987 by Hafiz Sayeed with funding from Osama Bin Laden is also linked with Taliban. Its Political arm is Jud ; Jamat Ud Dawa Al Irshad changed to Al Madina and Aisar Foundation after the ban. Whose members on 7 August 2017 announced the creation of a political party called Milli Muslim League. According to US Int sources LET receives funds from ISI.
- Jaish e Mohammad. This is headed by Masood Azhar alumni of Binaur Seminary, Karachi who has close links with ISI as well as Taliban. Masood Azhar was captured by Indidan forces but released after Indian air lines was hijacked in 1999.
- Harkut ul Mujahideen. Shot into fame when the terrorists of this group hijacked Indian airlines aircraft in 1999. The group had connections with Alquaeda and thereafter most of its members joined JEM.
- There are tens of other such terror organizations like Lashkar e Omar, Al Badr , and Jaish ul Adl etc.
Any dispassionate observer would find few things common ;
- They are all Pakistan based .
- They are funded by ISI.
- They are all loosely interconnected like a web.
Is it not surprising that despite the fact that; the world is aware of all this, CIA is aware of it, Pakistan’s leadership itself has publicly stated that these groups are their assets, but still Pakistan has not been declared as a Terrorist country, rather it has been rewarded to occupy Afghanistan and spread terror.
Right under the nose of global community Pakistan has been able to nurture hundreds of Terrorist organizations still the world is doing nothing, but is lecturing India on Human rights.
Next time any Western leader dares to lecture India on human rights must be given a kick on his back side.
Now that Taliban has occupied Afghanistan and Pakistan rewarded for supporting host of terror organizations, Pakistan’s leadership thinks that the victory is just round the corner and their old dream of capturing Kashmir and flying Pakistan flag on Lal Qila is going to be fulfilled soon. One would be naive not to believe this as its a matter of time when the same Taliban fighters will start appearing on the Line of Control / IB to sneak into India.
It is now to be seen whether this dream will ever get fulfilled or Pakistan itself will be swallowed by these indoctrinated barbarics of medieval world.
This is a war which India has to win as it is crucial for the survival of Human civIlisation to avoid being driven into medievel anarchism. If Pakistan thinks of flying its flag on Lal Quila with the help of these murderers and religious zealots, India must plan to get back its Taxila to set up a University for the benefit of the whole world.
But this war can not be won by rhetorics, it cannot be won by making India a battle field. Only fools fight on their land. It cannot be won by day dreaming for instance Indians for last one decade have been discussing that Terrorists are likely to use Drones against high value targets like Airforce bases etc, now that the attack has taken place the Indians are going around the market to ink a deal with foreign manufacturers and what is more laughable is Pakistan is also approaching the same manufacturer from Turkey, which is a leading manufacturer of High tech Drones
