Has the Democracy won in Bengal or Fear ? -II

This was the article that was written just after the election results were out and the Post Poll violence broke out in Bengal wherein the BJP supporters(specifically) were targetted.

Although after the violence both sides took the help of some doctored and fake videos and other means to prove their point, and therefore it was difficult to ascertain whose claim was right.

Now, notwithstanding the above, with the return of some big wigs to TMC who had joined BJP, prior to elections, thinking that it will win the elections, prove this point that ; Perhaps Democracy did not win here.It is the Fear that has won because "The average man does not want to be free. he simply wants to be safe." (H. L. Mencken).

If the Netas are scared then imagine what would have been the plight of a common man, had he voted against the ruling party in Bengal.

So, now the following questions arise ;

1. What has the Central Govt done to ensure that the democratic values and rights provided by the Constitution are upheld.

2. How long can the Central Govt overlook this tyranny and allow its citizens to suffer.

It may prima facie appear that Govt is fighting this battle politically and is so giving this tyrannical ruler of Bengal a long rope to hang herself finally.

However, the moot point is ; Why should the common man continue to suffer and live under fear,oppression and coercion ? Why should the Common man be denied his fundamental right of expressing his political views and opinions without fear and duress?
