Laloo Prasad Yadav once during an interview when asked about the need for better roads and computer technology in Bihar sarcastically remarked ; BIHAR MEY GARIB LOG HAI , BAILGAADI PEY CHALTA HAI , ROAD AUR COMPUTER KA KYA KAREGA.
In his just 10-12 years of rule he and his wife turned Bihar into a jungle. All the skilled and educated men and women had to migrate elsewhere in search of jobs and for better education, because Bihar neither could give them Jobs nor the much needed modern education and skills.
The elections do take place in Bihar, Govts are BEING FORMED, which may be rated as better than what Laloo provided but bringing back the talent and taking Bihar out of that vicious circle of mismanagement has been proving to be an uphill task, because the duo LALOO and his kins spoiled the whole environment and its no more conducive for growth.
West Bengal also, it appears prima facie may turn into another Bihar over a period of time, if corrective measures are not taken. The Best brains and skilled people of Bengal are already migrating to other parts of the country and are contributing immensely to the growth of other states economy.
Despite being at strategic entry point for markets in Southeast Asia and also for entire North East India, it has not been able to realize its full potential because perhaps of its myopic Political Leadership which remains mired in petty politics.

The BBC reported that the ongoing protest by Indian farmers was debated in British Parliament. Several Labour, Liberal Democrats and Scottish National Party MPs on Monday expressed concern over the safety of protesters and the status of press freedom in India. And urged that UK officials address these concerns with India when Prime Minister Boris Johnson visits the country, which is expected later this year.
One minsiter said ; Whilst this is an exciting time for the UK-India partnership, it does not hinder us from raising difficult issues,” adding that “candid discussions” on a range of issues will form part of Boris Johnson’s planned visit to India in the coming months.

The demand to put a stop to this communal hatred is growing day by day. But the moot question is how can this end? It is surprising that a land that has produced great apostles of peace; has been unable to find a solution to this problem? Is it really such a complex problem?
Or Is it that we ourselves have made it a complex problem that we can not find a solution? Why is it that an Islamic scholar had to say that Hindus and Muslims have been living together in this country for centuries but separately ?

Is CAA Really Discriminatory?

Is n’t CAA discriminatory? Why haven’t muslims been included in this ?. Is it therefore not against the basic principles of our constitution ?
Many critics of CAA raise this question, deliberately avoiding to answer as to why so many previous PMs and even Bapu himself spoke about providing succor to these beleaguered people, left behind in Pakistan.

If the primary reason for calling this discriminatory is to target Modi then there is no cure for that and I really express my inability to satisfy their urge for knowledge.

However for those who genuinely feel that it is unjust and biased against Muslims and have an open mind, then I can surely make an attempt to answer their query.

All those who have been following this matter of challenges faced by Indian farmers and have a soft corner for them , particularly when more than a lac have committed suicide since 2000, would notice that almost every expert has criticized the Mandi act and wanted to do away with them and every expert talked of freeing the shackles of marginal and poor farmers. Pick up old newspapers and magazines to look for experts views on this subject.
However, astonishingly, no Govt since 2000 took any pains in removing those hurdles, the farmers, sadly, kept dying and the Govts kept shedding crocodile tears but did nothing.
Were the successive Govts full of idiots? Were Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi indifferent to the farmers’ miseries ? If they could think of MNREGA and Food security Bill then I think they were not indifferent in its real sense. A politician is not an idiot, he usually does things which can enhance their electoral prospects.
So, in hind sight I can say that these leaders  Manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi etc were aware  that if these shackles are removed some influential farmers and middlemen who have tremendous political clout will get disturbed and it will be risky from the electoral point of view to do anything that may harm their interests. So, they preferred to be politically correct and so instead of helping the marginal famers, they went in for political gains, instead of saving farmers’ lives,  they went in for votes. As they thought that Inaction in this regard will serve the electoral purpose better.
